How to programmatically take a screenshot of vmware?

Good afternoon!
There is a regular vmware workstation installed on win7. We need to find a way to somehow screenshot the desktop of the guest system, i.e. functionality similar to the VM->Capture screen menu item. This item has hot keys, ctrl-alt-prtscr, I tried to send them programmatically (using sendMessage), but for some reason the picture does not jump to the buffer.
