How to prepare a booklet for printing in Photoshop?

Good afternoon everyone,

Please tell me, is there a ready-made booklet layout in Photoshop, how to properly prepare it for printing? CMYK mode, convert fonts to curves, but did not find information on how to calculate the number of colors in the layout? and also how to convert an image to 300 ppi when the layout has not one complete picture, but many small, separate images? what needs to be done with the images so that they print well?

In general, ppi, like the CMYK color mode, is set when the document is created, and not in the process, and so - Image > Image size ... > Resolution. Well, here, or better in Canvas size, if you suddenly didn’t do this or didn’t know, increase the layout by 5mm on each side for cropping after printing. Converting fonts to curves in Photoshop does not make sense, because it is a raster editor and it does this only conditionally. You can see the number of colors through the Info panel (Window > Info). Once you open it, just move your mouse over the layout and keep an eye on the amount in the CMYK column. After that, save the layout as TIFF without compression and it should be OK.
