How to popularize the IT department?

Good day.
Tell me how you can raise the popularity of the IT department?
It is necessary to form a positive image in the minds of users about:

  • technical support sector
  • business systems development sector
  • project management sector
  • sector of network and server architecture

There are the following ideas:
  • when closing a project (for example, "modernization of telephony"), develop printed booklets with user instructions, department logo and TP telephone
  • introduce competitions into practice, for example, for the best offer for the development of IT in a company, for example, not the latest smartphone or a corporate SIM card with a monthly transfer of 500-1000 rubles (even for the most ordinary employees) can serve as a prize
  • Start a department blog posting the best deals or user stories.

Colleagues, what are the techniques and ideas for creating a positive image of the department in a company with 1000+ employees?
I would be grateful for any ideas!

There is no need to popularize anything, and there is no need for amateur art competitions either. Flirting with staff in an office of more than 100 people will not lead to anything good - in case of any problems, the IT department will be appointed as the last one.
Smart people have figured it all out.
There are two magic words - ITIL and ITSM.
Learn, communicate to management and apply. Regulations for every sneeze and a healthy (without fanaticism) share of bureaucracy. Applications, service, that's it.

Do you want to make clowns from the department? If I were forced to stuff advertising booklets, hold contests, or have nothing to do to serve a corporate forum (as a rule, which no one uses), the employer would have to popularize his office in front of me.
No need to make a toastmaster out of an engineer, just let him work calmly and communicate normally with the team

It's not about your actions, but about people, if there are squeezed people sitting there, this will not help them, in all the places where I worked, my department was the most sincere and beloved. Enough just fun communication and annealing at corporate parties.
