How to play in a team?

How do several people make one project? I'm not sure they take turns sitting at the same computer until they've done their part of the task. Or as an option, that people throw project files to each other.

I used the built-in Unity Collaborate for these purposes. There, like 1 or 2 GB of free disk space on the servers, the unit is allocated for this business. Now they seem to have slightly changed something in this system. But Unity still has Collaborate itself. If the project is not big and there are two or three of you, then you can do it
