How to ping windows from linux?

Installed Linux
Executed: sudo ufw enable
Installed virtualbox
Installed windows in virtualbox
In the virtual machine settings, I selected the connection type: network bridge
Opposite "connect cable" there is no checkmark, because I do not need Internet on the virtual machine I
run windows, in the guest or public profile (current profile ), I click on "enable network discovery"
Then I go to Change adapter settings, I see Ethernet there, in the properties, in the settings of the ip protocol version 4 I enter - use the following ip address 192.168.0.1, the subnet mask is set automatically, after that I click ok
Disable windows firewall
After that, in Linux I type ping 192.168.0.1, and it does not ping
Tell me please, what is missing so that windows responds?

@jhfiowejio

what is missing

Understanding that ping does not pass through a disconnected cable.
In the settings of the virtual machine, you need to configure the internal grid between the machines without a bridge to the outside and turn on this same virtual "cable".

Understanding what is being done. Because there is an assumption that all these poke-myk are done almost at random.
