How to paste text from clipboard into virtual machine console without GUI?

I installed in a virtual machine (vmware) Ubuntu Server, which of course without a GUI.
And it is not clear how to paste texts from the clipboard (from your OS to the guest OS, and I would also like to return back).
Ctrl+V, Shift+Ins don't work.

Try the keyboard shortcuts ctrl+shift+v.
Or select the text in the mouse console, position the cursor where you want to paste the text and press the right mouse button.
