How to overcome error while compiling android project?

I'm learning Eclipse and when I first compiled the project, the following appeared in the console

[2013-12-16 08:24:14 - qwerty] Android Launch!
[2013-12-16 08:24:14 - qwerty] The connection to adb is down, and a severe error has occured.
[2013-12-16 08:24:14 - qwerty] You must restart adb and Eclipse.
[2013-12-16 08:24:14 - qwerty] Please ensure that adb is correctly located at 'C:\android\adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20131030\sdk\platform-tools\adb.exe' and can be executed.

Searched for solutions on google. None came up.

And is adb present in C:\android\adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20131030\sdk\platform-tools\ ?

"...can be executed". Try to manually open it in the console and see if it works. Could the file be corrupted, or other programs such as antivirus programs are preventing it from running?
