How to overclock Windows?

Good day. In the presence of a lenovo ideapad 330 laptop, it has windows 7. After installing windows, the laptop works quickly, but after a few months it starts to freeze. Defragmenting and cleaning with CCleaner doesn't help much. The laptop is only for working in programs (VScode, node js), no games, is it possible to somehow speed up the laptop without reinstalling Windows?

How to overclock Windows?
For starters - do not install malicious software like CCleaner - there will already be an effect.

If for work - do not put anything other than the applications needed for work. No unnecessary software.
For the rest, you need to look - maybe just the iron can not cope.
The drive must be an SSD - no options here. The HDD can't handle the load.
Memory - at least 8 for purely office work, for working with heavy applications like IDE, at least 16GB.
It also depends a lot on the processor - but since this is a laptop, there are no options here, you can’t put a fast processor.

Because of what the brakes: the percentage is weak, there is little memory or the screw is slow?
If I googled correctly, then in the usual configuration there is not enough RAM and hdd. Although, given that you have a seven, this is probably some kind of older model.
In the general case, I would buy a memory bar, increase its volume to at least 8 GB, and replace hdd with ssd.
Secondly, I would install windows 10 on the machine.

Without financial costs, you can try to determine what exactly slows down the system and try to fight it.
To determine the causes of brakes, the task manager and resource monitor can help.
Find a service/program that eats up CPU and/or memory and start messing with it.
As many have noted above, do not use utilities like CCleaner.
Regarding the upgrade:
Usually 8 GB of RAM is enough in most cases. 4 GB is not enough.
Does not pull the HDD - well, this is a moot point. If the disk itself is physically in order (see SMART status) and there is enough free space on the system partition (for Windows, you always need to keep 5-10 GB of free space on the system disk), then HDD will be enough for most tasks.
The actual needs are highly dependent on the tasks you perform on the laptop.
As far as I understand, the laptop is very worn, so think before investing money in it, it might be better to buy a new device.

Maybe you should try to optimize Windows, disable unused services and auto-updates. But first of all, it’s worth looking at the logs, maybe some kind of service hangs constantly, also check the HDD for broken ones
