I want to secure my home. Task: budget to organize video surveillance on the landing next to your door. If possible, the camera should be mounted into the wall and not protrude much from it, as attempts to forcibly dismantle it are possible =)
I need to record video, triggered by motion, I will store the recording for no more than 7 days. Infrared recording would be a plus, just in case.
At home there is an unnecessary system unit, I can lift something simple on it. Internet, Wifi router is also present. I suppose to mount it myself, I own a puncher and my hands.

There is one problem with cheap wireless cameras - they constantly freeze. I have two trendnet TV-IP110W - from a day to five days they work and fall off, you have to distort the power. You definitely don't need to take these.
I would take a separate box and any wired cameras that suit it, it doesn’t matter - usb or analog with rca.
