How to organize the updating of the online directory using the crowdsourcing method?

Good afternoon!

Korochka.ru is a guide to education in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

In principle, I believe that a very competent structure for presenting information has been designed, which is convenient for applicants.

For comparison, the level of material presentation:

korochka.ru/universities/msk/obe/
www.ucheba.ru/vuz/5773/ (leader since 2004)
www.obrazovan.ru/vuz/676/676.htm (publishing house)
edu. glavsprav.ru/profile/17/ (publisher)

Now the main problem is the lack of information.

Methods for obtaining information:

1. Copy from other websites / printed reference books on education;

This is a dead end, there will always be delays in submitting information, and most importantly, other people's mistakes will be repeated.

2. Call universities and ask them to fill out a questionnaire;

The most correct ... but practically not working method. Nonsense, but universities cannot fill out questionnaires for weeks, advertising departments do not have all the information and they ... send requests with a questionnaire to all faculties ... after a few weeks of constant reminders they send an unfilled questionnaire and disappear :)

3. Organize applicants / students of the university to provide information about the educational institution (crowdsourcing).

Question... how to do it?

Summary:

For me, this project is a hobby, not a way to make money.

I am ready to invest money further into development, I considered the possibility of making the placement of all information and commercial and state universities on the project completely free of charge ... and pay back the current ones with contextual advertising (for hosting, etc.). There were thoughts and then distribute all the data about the university under an open license (only I'm not a professional to understand how to arrange it and how to give information)

But how to organize the receipt of information?

ps I like the idea of crowdsourcing with the ability to get up-to-date data more quickly ... plus the project is socially useful :)

I will be glad for any ideas and advice!

working method. Somewhere even a life hack. Distribution of a paper letter signed by some high-ranking official from a federal or regional ministry with an instruction (recommendation) to enter data. Like, we are implementing a blah blah blah initiative to collect and update blah blah blah data so that applicants can easily find and choose blah blah blah. A single (the word “single” is a must!) database of universities and colleges is cool blablabla. The list of establishments that filled out their pages poorly or incompletely is visible there, blablabla, this is bad. Report completion by e-mail to [email protected]
It really works, I've seen it many times myself. They even consider spam seriously and run to fulfill it. Once, on a “recommendation,” they subscribed to a newspaper for 400,000 rubles.
What kind of official to take and whether to invent him - think for yourself.
Yes, it's unfair, but it works.

Try to act in institutes through student unions. Active and sociable young people usually sit there. You can additionally motivate them by promising to indicate a link to the vkontaktik of the head of the student union in the institute card in your directory. Or something like that.
