How to organize ip video surveillance system?
Hello. It is required to create a massive video surveillance system in the city (20-30 cameras to begin with). While we stopped at the choice of ip cameras. The topology has been built so far.
There will be 1 camera at each entrance, there will be 5-10 entrances in the house, we pull all these cameras into 1 router. We also set 2 servers (1 for collecting video from cameras in the plans of ubuntu server 14.04 with red5 media server, 2 for the web server from which all this will be broadcast to users). The question is, what kind of hardware is needed for a server with cameras, what is the best way to rely on other than screws? plans to connect around 150+ cameras in a year. Thank you very much in advance.

16 HD cameras on corei5 4 - 8 hdd 3GB RAM will give good quality and archive for 2-3 weeks. You have to look at the quality of the cameras.
Check out this platform calculator https://sale.axxonsoft.com/calc/calculator.jsf , it's for itv software, of course, but it's good for a general idea.
