It is necessary to organize the automatic sending of a fax and be sure to receive a delivery notification. Connecting a virtual fax is not possible on the client. You also need to use your "real" phone number, so virtual online fax is not suitable.
I see it this way. The client sends an e-mail with a phone number and an attachment. Then this letter is sent by fax to the specified number and the sender receives the sending status by e-mail.
