How to organize a section of popular stories on the site?

Good afternoon, dear users,
I want to organize a section of popular / gaining popularity stories on my readers' site. How can this be done? What is the formula for calculating this very popularity? There are likes, there are reviews, there are a number of additions, metrics to where the reader has read, etc. (not entirely accurate).

For all visits:

( (1+0.2*([количество лайков] + [количество добавлений]+....))*[среднее время просмотра страницы]) / [среднее количество просмотров этой же страницы]

The higher the value, the more interesting the story.

Depends on how fast new stories come out.
If there are few of them, then it is enough to sort by date added.
If there is a noticeable flow, and new ones do not linger in the list, then introduce the concept of "new story" (for example, created in the last week) and sort new stories by likes.
For the tasks of the average portal, this is enough.
