How to organize a data warehouse securely and with online access?

The office has a local network, now the hard drive from one computer is shared to others. Data needs to be stored securely, so clouds from popular services and their speed make this option impossible.
Po came up with a NAS variant, such as the QNAP D4. No more than 10 TB of data yet, online access is important, 4 computers in the office + several via Wi-fi.
What other options are there to make such storage?

Server with a bunch of disks. The same NAS will turn out.
You first decide how you are going to gain access. WebDAV, FTP, file manager or something else.

you have a computer and a disk with a ball, you want us, in fact, the same thing in the form of us, that is, you will get one to one, it’s not very clear why? What do you not like about the current system?

Data must be stored securely

It's not clear what you mean.
Nobody bothers to encrypt them, for example, and store them already encrypted in the same dropbox (with reservation elsewhere, of course.
If you want everything of your own, then you can self-collect with some nextcloud. But it’s more difficult to administer.
If you take a ready-made NAS, it’s better Synology, something like 918+.Take the
number of bays, the volume of disks based on the expected volume, it is better with a margin, + a reserve for SHR RAID - it will eat away somewhat (less if you are backed up from the failure of 1 disk, more if 2 disks ).For SHR-1 for 10 TB you will need 4 * 4 TB, for example, in the end there will be about 12 TB of free
space.Disks are taken by CMR, for example WD RED PRO
