How to organize a convenient online photo storage for your own?

A small introductory part:
We have a fairly close-knit group of friends, the backbone of which is 5-6 families + a few more bachelors. Therefore, every month we have some kind of event, or even several, after which it becomes necessary to collect all the photos and videos together and share them with all participants. We don’t want to upload everything to VKontakte. Now they have made a common Yandex disk, but the purchased 100 GB (150 r per month) ended immediately. Buy 1 TB (9,000 rubles per year) and it will not be enough in six months, and it’s like a toad against such an annual payment.
But the toad is not against investing this money in its own infrastructure.
Therefore, please suggest what hardware can help in organizing such an online storage.
We are not afraid of difficulties, but we really don’t want to get involved with assembling a home server and installing an OS and the necessary programs on it. Half have babies and now it’s just not up to it. Will Synology DS214play cope
with such a task ? If you have any ideas on how to solve this problem in another way, I would be grateful for your advice.

Have you tried cloud.mail.ru? They give terabytes, enough for the first time.

I had an extremely negative experience with the two-disc synology. He once updated and flew all the pictures and docks that were there. Including the girl's diploma.
I don't mess with the NAS anymore.
The only solution you will be responsible for is a local Internet-facing mini-merver. There are a huge number of solutions, both for Nix and for Win. personally, I have a laptop with a non-working display, with 4 cores and 4 GB of RAM on board.
Heed the advice! Do not mess with shitty programmers who make firmware for NAS.
