How to optimally bake a scene (screenshot)?

The scene is all static, the only dynamic object is the Player. I baked the whole scene.
But there was an error, something like "Out of memory". I thought maybe because of the cache. In the settings Edit -> Preference -> Cache GI, the maximum cache was set to 10GB, and the cache size after the error was almost 10GB. Is it normal? Should I try increasing the maximum allowed cache size? How are such big scenes even baked? Thank you all for your attention!

Most likely you have fierce settings for baking, exactly on this topic there is an official tutorial , it even comes with a project with two scenes that look the same, but one is baked an order of magnitude faster.
