How to open a selected image in a separate Photoshop window?

In general, I work with psd layouts and there are different pictures that I cut out, so when I select the desired image and press enter (crop), it opens in the same window, i.e. my layout disappears and a cut out image appears in its place, I have to reopen the layout every time, please tell me how to open the selected image in a separate window?

It seems that Adobe still does not understand why other raster editors have all sorts of functions like Paste as new image, Create a new image from selection, and so on. If Photoshop has not acquired such a function in its thirty-year history, then you will have to do what you want to do with the old method: select what you need, copy it to the clipboard, create a new image (by choosing the dimensions corresponding to the contents of the clipboard), paste the contents of the clipboard into an empty new image.

Make the layer with the desired image a smart object and open as many as you want in a separate window. And with a crop, you crop the entire psd, and do not select the desired picture

Yes, everything is easier.
You write the simplest Action
Layer - Duplicate - New Document
Image - Crop
Sawe to Web We assign a
hot key and that's it.
