How to more correctly organize the structure of data storage and backup?
A familiar admin asked for help with the launch of a new server. 1C databases (local) should be stored and backed up on it. The general "file dump" should also be stored. The server has 1 HDD (2 TB) and 2 SSDs (120 GB each). Initially, I was going to put together a software RAID 1 from the SSD, and split the HDD into 2 partitions (per system and file server). But after I looked at how often accountants and economists change the data in the database, I got worried that both mirrored drives could die in a year. Please advise what to do now with all this goodness?

the backup server should not be available to other people and should only be used as a backup server, it should stand separately from other servers
SSD will still be bent, it is a consumable. It is better to put them in raid 0. SSDs do not die to the ends, but go into read-only mode.
And don't forget to enable shadow copy every 2-3 hours. It will help a lot with the case "oh, we changed the configuration in the database and only now noticed that all documents will not be saved correctly. how can I return everything back?" With a daily backup, the whole day will be lost, and only 2-3 hours.
General backup according to the scheme every day-week-month with rotation. Well, yes, store it on a separate server \ us. Budget option - on an external usb-disk. Plus, backup to the Internet, if possible.
