Backup in ubuntu can't access files? How to solve it?

There is a standard utility for backups in ubuntu, I actually select the folders I need, after the end of the backup, the utility writes that it did not get access to some files. And how to live with it?
The folder that needs to be backed up is used by gitlab via docker, inside there are folders with access only for some custom users drwx- - - - - - 998 root, and there are no rights for the root group.
What is really so bad with backups in Linux?
Manually assigning rights to these folders seems like nonsense, since new objects can dynamically appear there.
