How to migrate an application from Angular 2 to 4?

Good day everyone! We are making a project on Angular 2. We decided to switch to Angular 4. To switch, it is enough to install Angular 4 packages ( @angular/[email protected] and etc.) and update the packages of the project itself via package.json ? Or is something else needed? And there will be some kind of nasty transition due to the fact that we do not use Angular CLI for development? Thank you.
