How to merge VM?

I have a couple of Amazon AWS EC2 machines running Ubuntu 18.04 and want to combine their capacities into one. Can this be done using standard methods?

There are programs that can distribute their calculations to several machines.
But there is no universal program that makes one machine out of two machines to run regular software on it.
Thus - there are no such standard methods.
