How to merge two local networks into one via OpenVPN?
There are 2 local networks in different parts of the city. In one network there is a server with a database for the ENERGO software package, and on the other machines there is a client part of this software package. The client automatically scans the network and looks for a server with a database.
The problem is that you need to install the ENERGO program client on computers that are located on the other side of the city, on another local network. I need to connect these 2 local networks into one via OpenVPN so that all computers in both networks have access to the server on which the ENERGO database is installed. Tell me how best to do this? All computers are running Windows XP, I found a couple of instructions on the Internet on how to do this, but they are very confusing and not entirely correct. I hope for your help.
I forgot to write that in one grid IP addresses like 10.47.1.xxx and in another 192.168.1.xxx

Here is a scheme that will suit your situation:
And here is a good article for beginners in openvpn, there are configuration examples for linux and windows:

,
what are the steps to follow:
very simple, it took me about 10 minutes
2. Take the configuration file from the example and change it a bit to suit your needs
3. Deal with routing so that both networks behind the routers can exchange traffic.
I recommend that you first raise 2 virtual machines to virtualbox and practice, and everything will work out.
What equipment is available?
What is the channel between networks?
I recommend 2 routers with alternative class firmware (From Oleg / *wrt / tomato)
And bridge them to OpenVPN (in this case, 2 networks can be in the same segment, as if connected directly by cable) or make routing.
He did this and that.
