How to manage product IDs in WooCommerce?

There are about 2000 products in the store, but the ID of the last one is about 51000. How are product IDs assigned and can they be edited? There is only one guess - a large number of categories and the CMS reserves an ID for each category.

The product id is the id of the post in the wp_posts table. This is an auto-increment field, i.e. itself increases by 1 each time a new record is added.
You cannot edit them. For identification, use the "article" field. Any text string can be written into it, and Woo programmatically maintains the uniqueness of this field.
