How to make win7 friends with a new battery?
I changed the battery (dell vostro 130), on the laptop the charging indicator confirmed charging, then it went out, as if it had been charged. At the same time, Windows also wrote that it was charging, but there was no data on the charge level. Pulled the wire - it works. That is, as if the battery itself works, the laptop also monitors the full charge, but Windows (win7) does not show the charge level in%.
As an option, it may be necessary to wait a few cycles? Who faced?

Total: time passed, picked up, as I suspected. Thanks to everyone who tried to find a more interesting and complex explanation.
Do a calibration. In theory, there should be a built-in calibration utility in the BIOS, if it is not there then: Set the power supply parameters so that the system does not turn off when the battery is low. Set it to zero, disconnect it from the laptop (naturally, the power must be turned off), hold down the power button and do not release it for a minute, at least. Then put the battery, turn on the power and boot. If the result remains the same, you can look for software for calibration.
