How to make Visual Studio Code search for text correctly?

Please tell a newbie in Visual Studio Code
how to make it possible to search for text in the editor:
1. Go to the found text not immediately, but only after pressing Enter or the "Search forward" or "Search backward" buttons
2. So that the editor remembers what I was looking for before and i could select it from a drop down list eg.

On the 2nd point - it turns out the editor remembers everything. You just need to press the up arrow in the window to enter the search test and we will get what we were looking for earlier.
And with the 1st point, I still can not find a solution. (Why this is needed, I explained in a comment to Roma Zvarich's post)
