How to make video processing functionality in android application?

You need to make it possible to trim the video in the application, and choose the cover for the video (the frame displayed until the video is loaded). Are there any libraries that can do this?
Ps I know about ffmepg, but there you have to bother with the assembly. Need a simpler solution
