Overscroll is annoying: when you scroll through the list and reach the end, the list itself reaches the middle of the screen, and then slowly and solemnly returns back. It is inconvenient, impossible to use, because most often you know where you are tapping, it does not allow you to perceive the image until the end of the animation. A simple highlight (tn glow) would be enough for me when the end of the list is reached.
How to turn it off?

I think this is the only way, because such scrolling is built into the UI of your official firmware.
