How to make trapping (white letters on a dark background)?

I am making a menu-brochure, the text is small (name, product description, price, etc.) How to make trapping? (white letters on a dark background). Can I just make a black stroke around the text, or do I need to do something else?
I'm making a layout in InDesign.

just a black stroke outwards in one color (100% black) somewhere in 0.25pt (or specify in TT), if the rest of the fill is compound black
