How to make money on PC computing power?

As you know, most people's PCs are simply idle. People use from the strength of 1/10 of all power. The rest of the computing resources simply disappear into the void, since the hardware will eventually break down anyway. What are the ways to monetize computing resources other than mining?

I agree, but there is one thing.
Considering the short-term personal perspective - you will not earn.
And if you think about the fact that the time of the CPU could be invested in a powerful computing pool to find solutions to pressing scientific problems. Which, perhaps, will change the lives of our descendants for the better .. In general, go and write such a system that will not burn Watts for nothing, or join [email protected] or some other similar thing.

and mining is no longer profitable .... for example, a year ago my gaming computer brought 15 thousand rubles a month on mining, and now it’s only 300 rubles (a wild increase in complexity due to the advent of hard solutions + a drop in the exchange rate).
So the answer so far is NO.
