Can I make money on my home server?

Good evening everyone. Picking through the boxes, I found the AsRock H55M board. I looked at the processor for sale I7-870 + 2 slats of 4GB each, the hard drive is available, cases, fans, PSU is also available. The question is, having invested 10000-13000 tr on the processor and memory, and putting it to work at home, how can you earn money on it, except for brute or scan, hosting costs a penny. Mining seems to be dying. Does it even make sense? It is interesting to hear your versions.

Home btc mining is dead. But periodically there are new forks that make sense to extract. For what else you can use your machine, I can’t imagine.

Since you have no ideas, then get an external, static IP, and sell, or rather, rent the server to those who have them. Finding such clients is also problematic, full of both VPS and physical DS, but usually sellers position their services only as a server, so many customers simply do not know that VPS is a full-fledged computer where you can still run a bot, and even compile and test something for another OS, for example, to develop OS X or iOS applications without buying an Apple device, it might be worth choosing this path, as well as a super-cheap and super-flexible niche that can be ordered to order absolutely any hardware and absolutely any OS, in general, you need to try different things, it may not be possible to develop a business out of this, but current expenses will be covered as much as possible.

You can "mine" on the hard drive. Lease HDD space, pay money for data space: https://storj.io/share.html
