How to make Lazy Load work?

I'm trying to use jquery to tie it to a site written in Ruby, like this:

$("img.lazy").each(function() {
               $(this).attr("data-original",$(this).attr("src"));
               $(this).removeAttr("src");
               });
               $(function() {
               $("img.lazy").lazyload();
               });

But it works crookedly, not everything is loaded where necessary, you can correct something, who is familiar with JQ
