How to make Github and css @import friends?

Hello people. Please tell a novice coder how to fix the situation with github : if you upload the site to github and connect all styles in turn via @import in style.css , then github does not reflect the site correctly, in turn, the local server copes with a bang, and if you upload to github with style.css file, where all the style code is in one file - everything is fine.

Github pages you mean right?
