How to make gif animation material design?

Hello! I need to demonstrate how a material design button works. The GIF should have the button itself, and when you hover over it with the cursor, its shadow becomes larger. How to do this?

This is more of a counter-question for the rest of the respondents, but:
what's stopping you from making up, recording a screencast -> converting to gif, looks much easier than learning AE.
