How to make friends MODX with IDE?

Is there an option to pair MODX with an IDE to edit pages and other elements that are usually found in a database? It's inconvenient through the admin panel :(

In the end, this is what I did .

All templates and some MODX chunks are moved to static resources.
Those. they start to be read from files, but not from a DB.
It is convenient to store these files at the address of /assets/templates/
CSS compiled from SASS by the collector, they are thrown into /assets/css/
Templates, while it is convenient to write in Pug (Jade).

There are two options:
1) Connect the template, through static resources prntscr.com/dliyn4
2) Work through Smarty templates, application https://modx.com/extras/package/modxsmarty
Unfortunately, I don’t know more ways.
