How to make correct links in wordpress?

Essence of the question, I have a site on wordpress, there is a url, for example, site_address/category/single post.
I also have one main category, in my case - a catalog, there are subcategories, for example - sofas.
I need to make a site_address/catalog/category name/single entry
Changed the prefix for headings in permalinks to "."
Looked at .httaccess without success, what are the solutions to my problem?
Ps if I am in site_address/catalog, a directory with categories is displayed (I implemented this), I only need to make it so that when I go to any category (Not a directory), then the link looks like site_address/catalog/category name.
