How to make Canon MP280 MFP scan?

Welcome all!
There is a problem - the MP280 MFP in which the printer does not work due to the absence (more precisely, dried up) of the cartridges. Is it possible to disable it to use the device as a scanner? The printer itself does not allow the piece of iron to start as a whole.
OS - linux, drivers are picked up. Gives a "no connection" error. Previously, before the cartridges dried, it worked perfectly.
PS: Trying to soak the cartridges does not help, apparently "died".

Canon and some Epson have such a "bug/feature" that the scanning module does not work when the cartridge is missing/ended. I couldn’t overcome it myself :( Most likely, the way out is to buy a separate scanner or a new MFP.

Reset the counter through the service mode, if it doesn’t work, then here

Just like that, from dried cartridges, it cannot fail to work, most likely there is some other reason why the printer does not start, see the error code that the printer issues. Most likely the error is related to the initialization of the printer head, or the printer does not see one of the cartridges. The printer cannot find out in any way that the heads have dried up, look for another reason, eliminate it and everything will work. Error codes are either reported to the driver or can be identified by a combination of paper feed/power LED blinks.

The "no communication" error is not related to cartridges. I think the events just coincided. In general, Pixma makes it possible to scan when the cartridges have run out, here is the instruction mnogochernil.ru/newsroom/kak-skanirovat-esli-kartr...
