How to make android app loading via config.xml?

Hello! I am writing an application on PhoneGap, I myself am a Front-end developer. It is necessary when loading the application that the icon is displayed, I know how to do this, but I only have a config.xml file. How can this be done? Or I need to create some more files, just for the first time in Android development, I don’t quite understand it myself.
