How to make an .img image file bootable?

Good evening!
I have already raised a similar question. In it, I was interested in the possibility of installing the QNAP system on a simple PC, or a virtual machine. He was advised to try.
I downloaded the QNAP system image file, but I don’t know how to open it or write it to a USB flash drive. Please help.
