How to make a webcam from a SLR camera?
I tried different ways to make a webcam out of a SLR camera.
Including for the existing Canon 28-70mm f / 2.8L lens, I purchased a Canon 600D (rebel T3i) in the hope of EOS Webcam Utility Beta. Despite the absence of this model in the list of supported programs, Rebel T3i still works as a webcam. But it works for a very short time, and turns off. We need numerous reboots and dances with a tambourine to make it work for a short time, and then it turns off anyway.
A capture card has been ordered and is on its way https://aliexpress.ru/item/32874573685.html Whether it will work is not clear.
The only thing that is clear now is that the quality of the Canon 28-70mm f / 2.8L lens suits me, the whale lens is much worse. And if I find another SLR camera that works like a webcam, I will put it through this lens through an adapter, albeit with loss of autofocus. Or I will buy a lens of comparable quality, albeit with a fixed focus and no autofocus. Just for the video.
Question: which DSLR works as a webcam without tambourines?

There is one program that can take a picture from a USB-connected SLR and transfer it to a virtual webcam. The program is called SparkoCam - it has a list of supported models on its website.
Everything is complicated there, each major vendor has its own APIs, and even different ones for different cameras. Well, that is, Nikon / Sony / Canon - in my opinion, only one program, this program can use them all together
