How to make a vandal-proof USB port?

There is a need to use the USB port in the outdoor terminal. The port will be connected to the USB connector of a standard mini-ITX computer motherboard. The danger is that hooligans can hit him with a stun gun, short out the contacts, and so on. Is it possible to protect against motherboard failure or at least minimize repair costs in such cases?

You can try two options:
1 Use a cheap usb hub. Most likely, it will burn out, not the motherboard, although ...
2 Make a galvanic isolation .
I don't know anything about stun guns, but they put out a lot of voltage.
Therefore, it is better to make it impossible to physically insert the stun gun into the USB port. A narrow or deep slot made of non-conductive material, for example.

The easiest way is to hide it behind a vandal-resistant door.
