How to make a similar picture (polygonal design)?

Good day!
I want to make a similar image:

I'm more interested in how to do this kind of thing in 3ds max. This means the sphere itself, if you look at the image in the example, you can see that the polygons are "random", that is, the usual primitive "sphere" is unlikely to fit, because there is an even grid. I'm looking for advice on how to "randomize" the sphere mesh in this way, maybe there are plugins or modifiers that can help with this? Or still manually move each vertex after triangulation?
Thanks in advance for your advice.)

In principle, I understood how to do it, I tried it in a hurry, my method, in general, is suitable, the rest is up to post-processing:
I used the geosphere + Opimize modifier to give polygons randomness, + Smooth to remove anti-aliasing + randomly poked vertices and scale "knocked them out".

Usually for such things people learn computational geometry, and enjoy life.
Specifically, in 3dMax there is MAXScript, which, IMHO , is more appropriate to use maya with python for these purposes, you can like this . Well, of course, this can also be done with a blender, but in maya it is still easier IMHO.
Yes, you can move vertices, and indeed apply any transformations.
