How to make a normal display of a picture from a laptop via hdmi to a TV?

I connected the ASUS N56V laptop to the Samsung LE-32B530 TV via a VGA cable.
The image is normal, the font is readable, but of course there is no sound.
I connected the same thing, but only via HDMI - the font began to display poorly, some kind of weak graininess of the font appeared, and images. I dug into the settings, I did not manage to fix it.
It feels like clear type has been disabled.
I am facing this for the first time.
Please tell me what are the possible solutions to this issue.
