We have a corporate mail based on Zarafa, it is on our server. Our users 50% (aged 40 and over) ignore the corporate portal, they work mainly in the mail. Judging by the comments, because laziness, because it is difficult to get used to the new, etc. It is useless to argue with them. To gently reverse this situation, an idea arose.
Make it so that mail works through the corporate portal

We would like our mail to be displayed on the portal. Those. right on the portal there is a page with the display of our e-mail, in which you can work with it. All mail functionality should be preserved.
After that, we will cut off direct access to mail for a number of employees and they will have to go to the portal to work with the "good old" mail. At the same time, several tasks are solved at once: users are constantly on the portal, they will receive all messages in any case, etc.

Forgive me, but it looks like what you want to do - not sure if that's even possible - is a "fast horse" instead of a normal car. You can’t follow the users’ lead, but it’s also stupid to try to force the screws to be tightened with a corporate hammer.
People use what works for them, not what you think/want should work.

+ Find out what business processes make them do it
+ Consider these processes and find out how to organize the transfer of signals / information between participants through the corp. intranet.
