How to make a local directory?
Hello. I started studying a program related to document management. There is little knowledge, but in the process of work everything becomes clear. I can’t buy training materials, because they are expensive, so I wanted to make a reference book on my computer so that I could enter the conclusions that I draw while working with the program there. The directory can contain pictures, code, just text, so I don’t want to save everything as txt notes.
Some kind of wiki engine would probably come up, but I read that there (specifically in dokuwiki) you need to run some kind of server, so this choice was dropped.
What do you advise? Maybe there is some program that I could open and see all my notes there? Thanks in advance for your replies.

1. In principle, Wiki engines are well suited for creating reference books and knowledge bases. If I were you, I would not be afraid of "servers", although yes, this or that wiki usually, but not necessarily, requires an installed database (DB), an installed Servlet Container ( https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Servlet_Container ), as well as the wiki engine itself, which must be configured for correct operation. Nevertheless, there are portable versions of wiki engines that can be written to a USB flash drive and run without the hemorrhoids described above, because. by default, all this is already configured for the convenience of the user, for example, the same dokuwiki:
- https://download.dokuwiki.org (select "MicroApache (Windows)", download, unpack, then run run.cmd in the directory and, without closing his,http://localhost:8800. Use)
or XWiki:
- https://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Download (select the wiki version for download, then download in zip format, unpack, run the file start_xwiki.bat without closing it, open in Browser http://localhost:8080. Use)
2. There are also programs that support Wiki markup... it was, for example, here: Is there a text editor that supports wiki formatting?
3. There are programs for storing notes - OneNote or Evernote, I recommend if you don't want to bother with unwinding and so on. Perhaps this option might work for you.
