How to make a DSL modem router, a regular router?
Hello. There is a modem router Sagecom (Fast 3184). The Internet comes via coxial. The modem is weak, the settings are at least, Wi-Fi distributes very badly.
There is a DSL modem router tp-link AC 1200. Attempts to distribute the Internet with Sagecom via Tp-link were unsuccessful. I tried to switch in Sagecom to Bridge (Bridge), from it with an RJ-45 cable to Tp-link (Wan port). In tp-link, network mode settings chose bridge mode with different options (with dhcp server and dhcp re-transmission).
As a result, Tp-link does not receive the Internet.
I would be grateful for any ideas, advice

Something incomprehensible movements.
Let's do this: let's leave Sagecom as it is, plug a twisted pair cable with an Internet from it into the TP-Link WAN port and make it a router that we will distribute WiFi. That is, he will have his own DHCP, his own WiFi, his own cable clients.
The Internet comes via coxial.I do not believe it - now coaxial is practically not used anywhere in networks. Maybe you're talking about twisted pair?
How to make a DSL modem router, a regular router? No way. Is it possible to change the firmware, but this is unlikely on such hardware.
Well, maybe in Russia they don’t use it, but in Israel it’s like that. There are three lines (coax, telephone network, optics), 70% use coax
