Is it possible to achieve at least approximately such an effect for a font using CSS / JS?

Or at least reveal the lines inside the letter (the edges of the faces), without chiaroscuro.

not that of course, but besides this, something else can hardly be squeezed out of css.
It's easier to take a ready-made font.
