Why does Chrome load an image by displaying it as black and white first?
Hello, today for the first time I encountered strangeness in Chrome. Made minor edits on the site, in particular, the previous developer uploaded photos in high resolution and not optimized for the web. I usually use ShortPixel for compression . As usual, I compressed the pictures, uploaded them to the site, and Chrome, when loading the page, first displays the picture for a fraction of a second, strongly pixelated, and, most interestingly, black and white, or, perhaps, more correctly, colorless. In other browsers - firefox, opera, ie - this behavior is not observed. Has anyone come across? Maybe it's some new feature of chrome - like some kind of built-in optimized image loading? :)
However, this happens with optimized images. Maybe something terrible happened during their compression? :)
