box-shadow was originally designed to display the shadow of the box, but no matter how the image, most likely several blocks with a broken image with an overlay effect.

no. there is no shadow. here the drawing was divided into 2 parts and placed from the sides. duplicated, one might say,
through css, you can only apply an effect to a duplicate image. somewhere I saw examples where such an effect was imposed, only it is unlikely to be cross-browser

Make a div that wraps around the image with no padding and give it a box-shadow.
