How to make 2 hyper-v VMs see each other?

Good afternoon!
now I’m trying on win10, but in the future it will be on a host with winserv 2019,

there is a host with hyper-v on it 2 virtual machines: 1 for 1s server 2 for server sql 2019.

physical ip on host 192.168.0.17 on one 0.223 on the other 0.224 a virtual switch in external mode (dns dhcp is correct as well as on a physical one) how to make 2 virtual machines ping each other, they ping other computers and the host too.

The issue was solved by disabling the firewall, maybe someone has come across and knows the solution without disabling

You need to properly configure the firewall

Explorer - Network, a pop-up plate will pop up asking you to allow network discovery, you agree.

You wrote that the virtual switch mode is external. If this is done on purpose, so that the machines are transparently accessible to your entire local network in which the computer is located, then everything is fine, but if you only need to make the VMs see each other, but not all the equipment on your local network, then you Rather, you need a Private mode for a virtual Hyper-V switch. In this case, the machines will see each other, but not the host. Addresses can be registered statically in them or a virtual router (RouterOS or pfsense or another) can be added to this private network. If you want the host (PC with Hyper-V) to be available to the VM as well, use the Hyper-v mode of the Internal switch.
If you need the switch to work in External mode due to the need for the availability of physical devices on your network for the VM and vice versa, then in this case configure Firefwall on the Hyper-V side of the host, for example, by explicitly creating a rule to allow any connections from your 192.168 network. 0/24 or select from relevant nodes. This should help. Further, the setting can be made more selective
