How to lubricate the fan motor shaft?
Background.
The fan stopped working (floor, air conditioner replacement). I read that the reason is in the old grease, which prevents the shaft from turning. I took it apart, removed the old grease, which really turned into plasticine, lubricated it with engine oil (which is poured into cars) - nonsense, it works and it stopped making noise.
And soon stopped working, again. Prior to that, a couple of days smelled of engine oil and died safely. At first, it started up with a kick - if you turn the impeller sharply. Then it stopped helping. But if you keep the fan in the "ON" mode, after a few minutes it starts to spin slightly, and after 10 minutes it accelerates to normal speed.
In short, what is the best way to lubricate the shaft?
